It is always right

Matthew 17:9 – 13 After Transfiguration

The Old Testament ends with Malachi 4. One of the “signs” of the Messiah was supposed to be the return of Elijah.  John came and preached repentance “for the kingdom of the Lord has come near” (Matthew 3:2).

Either John was a crazy guy in the wilderness, or he represented Elijah and was the sign the Pharisees sought. They dismissed him and his calls for repentance and reform.

When we miss the sign posts, we can miss the destination. What was Jonah’s message to the Ninevites?

The problem with legalism is that our focus is on being wrong and not making mistakes instead of doing what is right.

It is always right to love one another.
