Final judgment, similar to the Parable of the Weeds. It seems like Christian groups are either all about final judgment and separation or they prefer to think of it as some kind of metaphor. Either way, two points are clear: Jesus does the judging and not based on where people are right now (unless “the end” just happens to come).
Personally, I find that both comforting and freeing. It’s not my decision and it’s not yours either.
