God is the God of the living.
How often do we focus more on “when we die and go to heaven” than on experiencing God’s kingdom in this life? Much of popular American Christianity, and historical “hellfire and brimstone” preaching was more concerned about the next life than this one.
Jesus was not. Jesus was concerned with people living on earth. His mission was about making earth more like heaven through healing and forgiveness and forming disciples who would carry on with that mission.
What can you do today to be His disciple and offer healing and forgiveness in this life?
