Matthew 6:16-18, Fasting

Matthew 6:16 – 18, Fasting

When you fast, don’t make a big deal about it. We simply need to remember that the purpose is to enter God’s presence, to seek His Kingdom first.  Fasting is not about food, it’s about setting aside all the time involved in food preparation and mealtime for God.  Today, that’s not always much time, but until very recently, it consumed much of the day.

Try spending your entire lunch hour (if you don’t get one, then find an hour) focused on prayer and scripture, once a month or once a week.
